There are many subsidy and grant programs for RES. And among the most popular are:

  • Energy for the countryside – which is a program aimed at farmers and energy cooperatives that want to install RES installations.
  • The priority program “Biogas from Agriculture” – which is a program aimed at farmers who want to install an agricultural biogas plant. Under the program, up to 80% of eligible costs can be subsidized, with a maximum of PLN 15 million.
  • The priority program “Cogeneration based on renewable energy sources” – which is a program aimed at entrepreneurs who want to install cogeneration based on RES. Under the program, up to 80% of eligible costs can be subsidized, with a maximum of PLN 15 million.

Impact of grants and subsidies on the development of RES

A total of more than 1.5 GW of RES capacity will be installed in Poland between 2020 and 2022. During the same period, more than PLN 1.2 billion in subsidies and grants were awarded for RES.

Clean Air Program 6
