Photovoltaic cleaning – first wash of the season -. Klobuck, in the Silesia.
Is February a good month to washing the photovoltaic installation? Do we clean the panels in winter?
According to the recommendations, cleaning the PV system is best done in early spring and late autumn. This is related to the cleaning of the panels after winter and before winter. However, what matters most is not the season but the ambient temperature, weather conditions and the “progress” of the season! Photovoltaics are cleaned of dirt, that is, contaminants applied to the modules by nature or by industry. Starting with bird droppings, pollen, dust from fields and deposits from smoke coming out of the chimney. Of course, in addition to all this dirt, there is also the typical industrial pollution, but its intensity is hardly affected by the season. One of the most important factors in determining the feasibility of the service is the ambient temperature. Installations should not be cleaned below 5°C. That is, despite the fact that it is February with the current temperatures, we were able to boldly carry out the order to clean the photovoltaics for our client from Klobuck.
Solar panel cleaning – We consider the season for solar panel cleaning to be open!
Our team spent yesterday in Klobuck, where a photovoltaic installation of about 50 kWp was waiting for them on the ground.
After arriving, unpacking the equipment, the team got to work. We started with a thorough check of the condition of the installation. We carefully inspected each panel for dirt, bird droppings, leaves and other debris and also for any damage.
We then proceeded to clean the solar modules. We used equipment Mansser Osmo, providing water demineralization through 4-stage filtration, also using reverse osmosis. The installation had mainly organic dirt. Bird droppings and “stuck” leaf residue in the frames.
After thoroughly cleaning all the panels, we checked their condition again. We noticed cracks on the cleaned surface of 2 photovoltaic modules. Of course, we informed the owner about the noticed cracked panels and recommended the following servicing of the entire installation.
A few words about the installation
The installation in Klobuck is a 50 kWp system, consisting of 122 JinKo panels, or 410 Wp each. For the set HUAWEI SUN2000-40KTL inverter. The panels are mounted on an above-ground structure for easy access and cleaning.
